Our Philosophy
At Munch and Communicate, we believe that every child has a unique voice and a right to be heard, understood, and supported. Our practice is built on a foundation of neurodiversity-affirming, child-centred care that prioritizes the individual strengths and needs of each child we work with.
We understand that communication and feeding journeys are deeply personal, which is why we place families at the heart of everything we do. By working collaboratively with parents, caregivers, and educational settings, we ensure that our support extends beyond the therapy room and into a child's everyday life.

Meet Rinay
Founder and Speech and Language Therapist
A little about me, I'm Rinay, a Speech and Language Therapist with over six years of experience across the UK and South Africa. I have worked within the NHS, independent practice, schools, and universities, taking on both clinical and leadership roles.
I support children with a wide range of communication and swallowing needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), speech sound disorders, Developmental Language Disorder (DLD), Cerebral Palsy, and Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD). I am trained in dysphagia and the SOS Approach to Feeding, and I have experience using Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), including power-based AAC.
My approach is child-led and neurodiversity-affirming, with a strong focus on building trusting relationships and creating supportive, inclusive environments where children and families feel safe, understood, and empowered.
Alongside my clinical work, I deliver training to parents, school staff, and professionals, and provide supervision to students and junior therapists. I am passionate about multidisciplinary collaboration and working closely with families and professional teams to achieve meaningful outcomes.
I am registered with the HPCSA and HCPC, and I am a member of RCSLT and ASLTIP. My long-term goal is to establish a speech and language therapy practice offering these services in South Africa.
